Low Calorie High Protein Cookie Dough
There are a lot of cookie dough recipes out there, and while a lot of them are delicious, not a lot of them are very macro friendly. They're mostly high calorie and low in protein. This epic cookie dough has all the ooey gooey cookie dough vibes but can easily fit into your macro balanced diet. Filled with protein, healthy fats, and quality dark chocolate, this cookie dough is healthy enough for breakfast.
I used Vedge Vanilla Ice Cream flavoured protein and it's truly what makes it as thick and doughy as it is for the end result. I've tried this with other protein powders before and while the taste is there, the texture isn't the same.Â
I use Vedge for pretty much everything these days from baking to a scoop with water and I love that it's organic, non-gmo, and third party tested.Â

Why you'll love this high protein edible cookie dough
- It takes just 5 minutes to make.
- It's peanut butter free, so no overpowering peanut butter taste!
- It's low in calories compared to many edible cookie doughs.
- It packs 20g+ protein per serving.
- It's healthy enough you can eat it for breakfast.Â
- It has probiotics, making it a gut healthy option!
Â
What you'll need for ingredients and substitutions
- A good vanilla protein powder. I like Vedge, I've linked it above.
- Cashew butter or a mild nut or seed butter or your choice.Â
- Plain yogurt. I like coconut based yogurt, you can also find almond yogurt, soy yogurt, or oat milk yogurts. Another option is a vegan greek yogurt for an extra thick cookie dough.
- Vanilla extract really brings in the cookie flavour paired with the salt, so don't skip these!
- Dairy free chocolate chips, or your favourite cookie mix-ins.
