Hi, I'm Evann! A vegan recipe developer.
My story
I live in Vancouver, B.C. I grew up in Victoria on Vancouver Island. My food journey started when I was just 3 years old. In a high chair at the back of my parents first restaurant. I learned how to stuff blueberries into bread dough and create "dough people." Since then I've developed a few more skills about being a vegan recipe developer, plant-based cooking, baking and well.. life. But one thing has remained the same, my love for food.
Previous ventures
I opened my first business in 2016, a meal prep company in downtown Vancouver, BC Canada with my partner Armin.
However our company was not vegan to start. We served all types of food providing a meal prep service for all dietry needs. On year two of the bussiness, after watching a documentary about veganisem that forever changed our lives and turned us vegan overnight. We decided to change most of our offering into vegan recipes.Â
We've been vegan now for over 8 years and it's been one of the best changes I could have possibly made for myself. As a result of this change and as a vegan recipe developer my skills climbed to the next level along with my health and fitness.
Current passion as a vegan recipe developer
With all the benefits I saw from going vegan I knew I needed to find an outlet to share my passions not just for the diet but a way to show people how they can eat this diet and thrive when done the proper way. As a vegan chef my first stop was instagram and I've been putting my heart, soul, and recipes into my page @evannryan for just over two years now and it turns out that many of you were also looking for high protein, balanced vegan recipes too.
This website is a bigger extension of who I am as a vegan chef, what matters to me, and hopefully how I can help many of you live a healthier, easier, plant-based lifestyle.Â
