Ingredients:
200g pastry dough (1/2 of this pack)
16 Zazubean Sugar Free Chocolate Teezers (88g chocolate)
1 tbsp organica icing sugarÂ
16 candy eyeballsÂ
Â
Recipe:
If using the same pre-made pastry dough you will need to take it from the freezer to the fridge, allowing it to thaw in the fridge for 2-3 hrs.
Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out 200g of pastry dough.
You want a long rectangle.
Add two chocolate teezers, one above the other vertically, on the bottom half of the rectangle. Do this 8 times along the bottom of the rectangle. This is the "mummy shape" you're going to wrap more dough around.
Take a knife and slice the large pastry rectangle in half horizontally. This should leave one half with all the vertical chocolate rectangles, and one half of just dough.
Slice the dough only rectangle into thin long lines, for the mummy wrapping.
Now slice the 8 chocolate/pastry rectangles free from one another. You should have 8 dough rectangles with two pieces chocolate on them each.
Pour a ramekin of water and set it on your table.
Using the long thin dough pieces, criss-cross the pieces across each chocolate dough rectangle, mostly covering the chocolate, but leaving a small opening near the top so you can add the candy eyeballs when it's done cooking.
Then dip your fingers in the water and seal the sides so the bottom square dough is sealed with the long thin dough pieces (chocolate in the middle).
Using a sharp knife, slice any excess dough from the sides so you have a nice clean rectangle.
Repeat until you have 8 mummy treats!
Add them to the prepared baking tray and bake at 350 F for 22-26 minutes or until lightly golden.
Allow to cool completely before using a sifter to cover them in icing sugar.
Then add the eye balls by pressing into the chocolate.
Enjoy!
