Hi, I'm Evann!
I live in Vancouver, B.C. and grew up in Victoria on Vancouver Island. My food journey started when I was just 3 years old in a high chair in the back of my parents first restaurant. I learned there how to stuff blueberries into bread dough and create "dough people." Since then I've learned a few more things about cooking, baking and well.. life. But one thing has remained the same, my love for food.
I opened my first business in 2016, a meal prep company in downtown Vancouver with my partner Armin. On year two of that business we watched a documentary that forever changed our lives and turned us vegan overnight. We've been vegan now for over 8 years and it's been one of the best changes I could have possibly made for myself. It took my cooking skills to the next level along with my health and fitness.Â
With all the benefits I saw from going vegan I knew I needed to find an outlet to share my passions not just for the diet but a way to show people how they can eat this diet and thrive when done the proper way. My first stop was instagram and I've been putting my heart, soul, and recipes into my page @evannryan for just over two years now and it turns out many of you were looking for high protein, balanced vegan recipes too.
This website is a bigger extension of who I am, what matters to me, and hopefully how I can help many of you live a healthier, easier, plant-based lifestyle.Â
