Brownie Batter Overnight Oats
Evann RyanThese rich and chocolatey brownie batter overnight oats are creamy, rich, and made with only four simple ingredients, oats, chocolate protein powder, vegan greek yogurt, and cocoa powder. They're packed with 33g of protein per serving and take only 20 minutes to make all four servings. This makes this chocolate lovers breakfast absolutely perfect for meal prep!
The simple ingredients in this brownie batter blended overnight oats recipe are balanced with fibre, protein, healthy fats, and a probiotic boost from vegan greek yogurt. To increase the nutrition even more, consider using an all natural cacao powder in place of dutch processed cocoa powder for vitamins like magnesium, iron, potassium and zinc to name a few. I've linked a cacao powder below in the "What You'll Need" section if you want to save on your next bag!

What You'll Need To Make These Brownie Batter Overnight Oats
Sprouted oats, or regular rolled oats. My personal preference is sprouted as they retain a lot more nutrition per bite than rolled oats. They're also higher in protein per serving, giving these brownie batter blended overnight oats another boost!
Vegan greek yogurt. I like Maison Riviera's oat milk greek yogurt. It's rich, creamy, and thick just like a traditional greek yogurt, but minus the dairy!
Chocolate protein powder. If you've been using my site for awhile, you know I use Vedge Nutrition protein powders for pretty much everything. I love the taste and smooth texture if their powders, but what makes them even better is that they're organic, non-GMO, and third party tested. These certifications make me feel safe to use their products on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. You can shop their protein and supplements using discount code: EVANNRYAN.
Cocoa powder or cacao powder. This adds a chocolate depth that you need to make these rich and creamy brownie batter overnight oats. You can use dutch processed cocoa powder, or ramp up the nutrients and use cacao powder. Plus, you can shop cacao powder and other organic groceries on Prana Foods website using my discount code: EVANNRYAN.

Brownie Batter Overnight Oats
Recipe makes 4 servings
Macros per serving:
438 cals - 10g fat - 54g carbs - 33g protein
Macros per serving with optional chopped cookies on top (linked below):
480 cals - 12g fat - 59g carbs - 34g protein
Ingredients:
- 2 cups or 208g sprouted oats
- 2 cups or 500g tub vegan greek yogurt
- 2 scoops/serving (78g) chocolate protein powder (use discount code: EVANNRYAN)
- 1/4 cup + 1 tbsp or 25g cacao powder (use discount code: EVANNRYAN)
- Optional: chopped chocolate buckwheat cookies for texture and garnish
Instructions:
- Add the oats to a blender and blend into a flour.
- Pour the oat flour into a mixing bowl.
- Add to mixing bowl: greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder, and 1/4 cup (20g) cacao powder.
- Add in 1 cup water and start to mix. You'll need more water to reach a smooth consistency but how much more will depend on the protein powder you've used. Using linked protein powder I used 1 3/4 cup water total to get a smooth, thick, but pourable consistency.
- Once you've reach a smooth, thick, but pourable oat texture, divide the batter across 4 meal prep containers.
- Smooth the tops, to do this easily and without mess you can gently tap the meal prep bowls on the counter.
- Place a sieve or thin mesh colander over the brownie batter overnight oats and tap 1 tbsp cacao powder over the bowls so you have a nice cacao dusting across all the bowls.
- If using, top each bowl with chopped cookie crumbs.
- Seal with a lid and set brownie batter overnight oats in the fridge overnight to set.
- Brownie batter overnight oats will last in the fridge for up to 4 days.
