Viral Brownie Balls (Tik Tok Recipe)
Evann RyanHoly brownie balls, this viral recipe is 10/10 worth the hype!!! Made with soft and sweet medjool dates, cocoa powder, chocolate protein, nut or seed butter, vanilla, and coated in melted dark chocolate and sea salt. These are a must make sweet treat.Â
No joke, I made these yesterday, and they'll be gone today. I will admit there is two of us, but I would be lying if I didn't also admit he's probably only had a few..Â
A few ways I adjusted the brownie ball recipe is I changed up the oat flour for almond flour because I love the sweet and nutty taste of almond flour, and I also tried a version where I used peanut butter powder instead of protein powder, and it turned out great too! I'll leave you those recommendations down in the "substitutions" section too.

Why You'll Love These Viral Brownie Balls
The brownie balls taste like brownie batter covered in dark chocolate. Need I say more?
High in fibre thanks to the dates!Â
Packed with healthy fats from nut butter and almond flour.Â
Each brownie ball has 6g of protein and 188 calories, making them a pretty perfect pick me up or dessert.Â
Really easy to make! Which is great because you're probably going to make them on repeat.Â

What You'll Need To Make The Brownie Balls
Medjool dates. These are the base of the recipe and what gives them the decadent, chewy flavour and texture.Â
Cocoa powder or cacao powder. This makes them oh so fudgy. You can go with dutch processed cocoa powder, or organic cacao powder for a nutritional boost. To shop cacao powder, you can use my affiliate link and code: EVANNRYAN.
Chocolate protein powder. This adds a little protein boost! Shop my favourite plant-based protein powder using my discount code: EVANNRYAN.
Almond flour. I love the nutty taste of almond flour, and that it's a lower carb and higher fat option when you want it!
Maple syrup. I know it seems odd to add maple syrup when you already have all those dates, but this recipe went viral for a reason so I'm sticking to what Elle Gibson (the original creator) said to do!
Nut butter. I used peanut butter, but I should mention it does add a peanut taste. If you want to keep it simple try tahini or almond butter.
Vanilla extract and salt. Both play an important role in combining all the flavours together.

Substitutions
The original creator used oat flour for the viral brownie balls, I switched it to almond flour due to personal preferences. You choose whichever works best for you!
Instead of chocolate protein you could use 1/4 cup peanut butter powder for a peanut butter brownie ball, or vanilla protein powder if that's what you have on hand. I tried the peanut butter brownie ball version and they're incredible.
Pictures are using "option two" of the recipe (listed below).

Storing
These brownie balls store well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Or at least I assume they do, mine haven't lasted that long.
In the market for new meal prep containers? I love these glass ones.

Can I Make These Brownie Balls In Another Flavour?
Absolutely! I have become quite obsessed with these gooey, fudgy, brownie balls and so as soon as I finished my first batch I knew I needed to make another one, but why not an even fancier version, using Vedge Nutrition's NEW Cookies and Cream Protein Powder!!! First let me say, this new protein powder might be my favourite drop of theirs yet, it has literal cookie chunks in it. But, secondly, the cookies and cream flavour works absolutely perfectly with these raw brownie balls, so I got to rolling right away.

One scoop of powdered peanut butter should be 1/4 cup to replace the protein powder. Will update that on the recipe page now. Thanks!
I’d like to use powdered peanut butter instead of protein powder but I’m not sure how much “one scoop” would be. Suggestion? Thanks!
