Edible Cookie Dough, Low Calorie and High Protein

Evann Ryan

There are a lot of high protein edible cookie dough recipes out there, and while a lot of them are delicious, not a lot of them are very macro friendly. They're mostly high in calories and low in protein. But this epic low calorie high protein cookie dough has all the ooey gooey cookie dough vibes you want while seamlessly fitting into your macro balanced diet. Filled with protein, healthy fats, and quality dark chocolate, this edible cookie dough is healthy enough for breakfast.

I used Vedge Vanilla Ice Cream flavoured protein and it's truly what makes it as thick and doughy as it is for the end result. I've tried this with other protein powders before and while the taste is there, the texture isn't always the same.

I use Vedge for pretty much everything these days from baking to a scoop with water and I love that it's organic, non-gmo, and third party tested. You can shop Vedge with my affiliate discount code: EVANNRYAN to save money!

  • It's low in calories compared to many high protein edible cookie doughs.
  • It packs 20g+ protein per serving.

What you'll need for ingredients and substitutions

  • A good vanilla protein powder. I like Vedge, I've linked it above and below!
  • Cashew butter or a mild nut or seed butter or your choice.
  • Plain yogurt. I like coconut based yogurt, you can also find almond yogurt, soy yogurt, or oat milk yogurts. Another option is a vegan greek yogurt for an extra thick cookie dough.
  • Vanilla extract really brings in the cookie flavour paired with the salt, so don't skip these!
  • Dairy free chocolate chips, or your favourite cookie mix-ins.
